# Installing Pygame for Python 2

Make sure you have completed the instructions for "Installing Python 2".
Install pygame (opens new window) from pygame.org and make sure you choose the py-2.7 msi so it works with python 2.7 --MSI is a Microsoft Installer (installing pygame before other libraries or tools may help them detect pygame).
